‘BEE’ You: Children’s Resilience
and Confidence Programme

What is it?

A five-module programme using short videos and PDF worksheets to help you teach the children you teach, coach, care for, or parent, how to:

  • Deal with Peer Pressure
  • Create Energy
  • Overcome Anxiety
  • Build Resilience
  • Transition to High School
  • Improve Gratitude
  • Create Confidence
  • Be Themselves

An opportunity for children of all backgrounds to learn and develop life-skills that have helped others to overcome feelings of worry, sadness, apathy and unhealthy lifestyles.

A great reminder for all children that we can always develop new knowledge and skills which make us feel happier, healthier, and more prepared for every day.

What is it ?

Coaches, Parents, Carers, Teachers, Mentors, Leaders and Parents/Guardians of children aged (approximately) 7 to 11 years old

What children will learn:

  • Coaches, Parents, Carers, Teachers, Mentors, Leaders and Parents  / Guardians of children aged (approximately) 7 to 11 years old
  • How to handle peer pressure and deal with different people.
  • The best way to understand why people are different from them – even if they think other people are just weird.
  • The simplest way to avoid being picked on.
  • The easiest way to relax when trying to sleep but can’t.

The number one thing every adult wishes they were told at school (and that some adults still don’t understand the importance of)

Help to teach a SKILLSET and MINDSET that will last children
for the rest of their lives (even if they don’t realise it)

Background

This project began as a course for adults. Following the success of the Flip the Script (Managing Change) programme. The natural progression was to develop the course to be suitable for children.

The programme is aimed primarily at children aged 7-11, in Key Stage 2 of Primary Education, but is suitable for others if you feel it would be appropriate.

What You Will Need, as the Leader

  • Access to internet / wifi (or download the content before-hand),
  • A screen large enough for your entire group to view clearly,
  • Your connected device (laptop / tablet / phone),
  • Access to a printer (for the handouts) and pens

What group leaders say about the programme:

The children really enjoyed the activities we did

It was especially useful for some children who may find transition to high school overwhelming

We had great discussions based on the resources
